I had 2 slipped discs and was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t sit for more than 30 minutes at a time. There was a sharp pain in my lower Back. I want to Jaseng Hospital and they helped me cope with the pain.

I got spinal adjustments, acupuncture and exercised my lower back, After 4 months I have recovered and now I can lead a normal life again. The road to recovery was Long, hard and a bit expensive but, my back is better now. I am satisfied with the results.

Thank you. - Gary Barber (53)

I had back pain for previous 3-5 years which came occasionally. After spending a lot of time skiing in 2009 the pain in my back became unbearable with pain travelling down my legs. I was unclear to bend and sit down for any long periods. I went to see a western doctor who recommend immediate surgery which I did not want to do. I received western physio for one month but no improvement.

In april 2009 I visited Jaseng Clinic and first met Dr Song. He indicated that with oriental treatment he could help me. – I was doubtful.

Now early 2010 I am completely free of pain in my back and legs. I’m doing things I could not do in mid 2009.

The treatment was not painful or intrusive and I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr Song and all the staff at Jaseng clinic – Shilla Hotel.

Thank you.

It wasn't a superficial treatment. - Min-Wook Kang (24)

My ties with spinal discs are very deep. I first developed low back pain from skiing in middle school, which later resulted into a ruptured disc.

The agony and mental stress that I underwent during this period was unbearable. I sometimes experienced pain while enjoying the sports that I loved such as hapkido, karate, kickboxing etc., but it wasn’t a big deal to me. When I experienced pain I received treatments such as physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, etc. and the pain would diminish for a short period of time. However that was the problem. Instead of treating the root of the problem, I was only getting a quick fix.

Due to severe pain in my legs and back and my crooked hip I was unable to move. During this time I was unable to work and was bedridden for a week. I went to several western hospitals and what was worse is that an oriental medical clinic strongly recommended that I undergo surgery. However I felt surgery should be my last resort.

Jaepil Yoon was the doctor at Jaseng Hospital that took charge of my treatment. He is a very warm-hearted person. During my inpatient treatment as each day went by I felt myself improving more and more. I concentrated on my condition and did my best in expressing it. I felt that this is the best I could do for myself. Following 2 weeks of inpatient treatment unbelievably the leg pain that tortured me for the last 12 years was gone. I feel my prescribed herbal medicine, bee venom acupuncture, herbal acupuncture, and chuna manipulation played a big role in bringing me to this point. At three weeks of treatment I was able begin exercise therapy with the legs that I once was unable to even lift and my once crooked back was straight again.

It was truly astonishing. During exercise therapy I learned that my walking and daily habits were not good. Although I still have further to go to be completely better, thanks to Yoonjin Cho therapist’s steady interest and efforts I was able to fix my posture and improve my daily habits. From this time forward I look forward to my outpatient treatment period. I feel my own efforts are going to play a big role on my complete recovery. Lastly, I would like to deeply thank Dr. Jaepil Yoon for giving me the best treatment plan and putting his best efforts forward in treating me. I would like to also thank the interns Joowon Kim, Giyong Park, Sungu Yum and Chang Hwan for their sincere efforts, and the nurses of clinic 2 for caring for me with their warm hearts. Thank you.

I became like a different person! - Cynthia Genn Toffey (53)

Dear Dr. Royer,
Thank you so much. I became like a different, healthy person the second day after I left your office. This medicine you gave me really changed me.
Now I have lots of energy even though I had to put a big art show up and talk to many people and send out hundreds of emails.
I am so grateful to you and your staff. You are the first person who understood my back that I have met for years, even though I went to other smart doctors.

I wouldn't have been cured if I had given up on the treatment. - Yoon-Jeong, Choi (34)

I had severe back pain since I gave birth to my second child in May 2005. I assumed it was just a side effect of giving birth, so I didn’t take it seriously at all (In fact I wasn’t even able to freely turn over or get up from lying down and I sometimes even had to crawl on my hands and knees) The pain eventually diminished, but then reappeared in October 2004.

I was contemplating on whether I should go with eastern or western treatment, and because of my belief in Jaseng’s non-surgical treatment I chose Jaseng Hospital of Oriental Medicine. On my first visit, I was questioning whether I could actually be cured with this treatment. The bill for treatment and medication also laid a heavy burden on me. However, my passion to return to good health weighed more, so I decided to follow the doctor’s orders.

I received Chuna and acupuncture therapy once a week, along with herbal medicine. After 3 months of treatment I felt I might be able to stop receiving treatment because I felt much improvement, however the pain started again, but not as severe as in the beginning. So I received 1 more month of treatment. I wouldn’t have been cured if I had given up on the treatment.

Deciding to take 4 months of herbal medicine and receive treatment was the best choice that I made. I appreciate Dr. Beol Jeong, for helping me to trust and believe that I too can be cured if I follow his exact orders. I feel that my passion to recover and my positive thoughts were very helpful as well. Now I introduce Jaseng Hospital to my colleagues and friends with great confidence.

I couldn't walk even for 15mimutes, but now I am able to. - Seung-Hoon Kim (28)

The pain started back in March 2005, I had trouble walking. After about 10 minutes of walking, my left leg became numb and strained so I could not continue.

I tried physical therapy and western medicine from the local orthopedic clinic for 2 months but my condition didn’t improve. I had to return early from my business trip to France due to the pain. I heard about Chuna manipulation from one of my business acquaintances so I searched on the internet. I came across Jaseng Hospital of Oriental Medicine, which listed the most recommendations therefore I chose to come to Jaseng.

I was in a serious condition at first; I received Chuna treatment once a week and also I took herbal medicine. Following 2 weeks of treatment I was surprised by the fact that I could walk all day long without any pain. Even 8weeks ago, I had to take at least 2 breaks in between home to the hospital although it was only a 15 minutes’ walk.

I would like to thank Dr. Cho for his efforts.

I am satisfied with the treatment I received for my chronic neck & low back pain. - Yoon-Sil Han (62)

I had chronic neck & low back pain, which was caused by my poor posture. Following 2 months of treatment, I’m very satisfied with my improved body & mind condition. One of my relatives introduced me to come to Jaseng, and I think Jaseng Hospital deserves admiration.

I am surprised with the fact that not only the doctors and nurses but also people from the information desk, the cashier, and even the shuttle bus drivers were all very kind and helpful.

Jaseng isn’t the kind of hospital that offers only one-way treatments, and pushes patients out of the hospital because of lack of time. I feel the doctor’s attitude of inducing patients to have conversations and providing a comfortable treatment atmosphere cut my remedy time down.

I will try to do the exercises that Dr. Kim taught me constantly, which is maintaining a correct posture and improving my neck & low back in good condition. I would like to thank Dr. Kim for his great technique and patience.
