Acupuncture improves the flow of blood circulation allowing oxygen, blood and lymph to support the body’s healing process by applying finely gauged, sterilized, one-time use stainless steel needles. It also helps in reviving damaged nerves, muscles and ligaments.

Usually it is necessary to receive treatment once or twice a week, but it depends on the individuals. Many conditions can be alleviated very rapidly by acupuncture combined with other therapies such as manipulation, herbal medication, etc.

Chronic illnesses may require treatments for several weeks or longer. Acute problems generally have a quicker response. As in any form of medical care, the patient’s attitude, diet, determination and lifestyle will affect the outcome and course of the treatment.Acupuncture is based on the theory of Yin-Yang and the five elements. Health is seen as a balance between two opposing forces called yin and yang within the body. An unbalance of these is considered to result in ill-health. This imbalance also causes disruption in the flow of Qi or vital energy along pathways in the body know as meridians. This is done commonly by the insertion of needles into these points which are then manipulated manually or by electrical stimulation. They can also be stimulated by moxibustion, pressure and heat. This restores the balance between yin and yang, corrects the flow of Qi along the meridians and restores health to the body and mind.

MSAT uses traditional acupuncture points accompanied by movement. It is unique in that patients are encouraged to move, either alone or with support, for a period of 20 to 30 minutes, while they are receiving traditional acupuncture.MSAT has had a dramatic effect on pain relief and facilitated mobility. This treatment is practiced regularly in Jaseng. Damage of the spine, ligaments, muscles or cartilage surrounding the joints causes inflammation and severe pain, making it difficult for patients to move. If these conditions are neglected, the spine, joint muscles and ligaments become hardened; blood does not circulate properly, which aggravates the pain.

MSAT covers a wide range of condition: first-aid treatment for patients suffering from intense pain of acute musculoskeletal origin, various spine and joint pain, temporomandibular joint syndrome, frozen shoulder(adhesive capsulitis), gonarthritis, and intervertebral disc herniation.

Jaseng doctors explain MSAT (Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment) in detail: ideology, procedure, method, and benefits.

The main concept of Jaseng medication for bone and joint disorders is that individually prescribed herbal medicine cures diseases by finding the root cause of the symptoms. For bone and joint disorders, in many cases the cause of pain comes from extravagated blood and congestion inside the body. Jaseng medicine removes inflammation with impurities, supplements the Qi-the body energy- and strengthens muscles, ligaments, and bones.

X-ray and PACS

Digital Radiography (DR or DX) is filmless x-ray images. In place of x-ray films, a device captures the image digitally and records the x-ray image as a digital file that can be presented for interpretation and saved as a part of the patient’s medical record. Digital Radiography is time efficient as it captures immediate x-ray image for preview and is readily available for providers. It has a wider dynamic range which is more accurate to prevent over- and under-exposure to patients and has the ability to apply special image processing techniques that enhances overall display of the image as compared to conventional radiography.

PACS stands for Picture Archiving and Communication System which replaces x-ray films with digital images. Films can only be available in one place at a time and frequently result in delayed patient care if it is not immediately available to the physicians. With PACS, patient studies can be viewed from any computer at our facilities or from referring physicians and radiologists who have Digital Radiography. It also links the reports for imaging studies, which makes it easy to view images and the associated reports at the same time.

MRI center

Jaseng center offers MRI referrals to associated local facilities and hospitals.

EMG/NCV

An electromyogram (EMG) measures the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contration. Nerve conduction velocity(NCV) measures how well and fast the nerves can send electrical signals. Nerves control the muscles in the body by electrical signals(impulses), and these impulses make the muscles react in specific ways. Nerve and muscle disorders causes the muscles to react in abnormal ways. Measuring the electrical activity in muscles and nerves can help find diseases that damage muscle tissue, such as muscular atrophy, or nerves, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or peripheral neuropathies. EMG and NCV are often done together to give a complete and accurate information.
