Jaseng Center for Integrative Medicine has joined hands with St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center in July.
Woo Kyoung Lee, medical director of the Jaseng Center for Integrative Medicine announced that he will collaborate with St. Jude Hospital to help disadvantaged with the support from Korean and the local community.
St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center, a nonprofit medical facility under St. Jude Hospital, is a medical support organization for low-income and uninsured people in the area at Fullerton. They provide quality medical services such as general medical care, dentistry, ophthalmology, and obstetrics and gynecology at minimal cost.
Jaseng Center has met with St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center, a public medical institution in the community, and introduced the oriental medicine to the medical staff of the health clinic and explained the treatment course and the treatment method of the Jaseng Center.
St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center decided to request a visit to the Jaseng Center for patients who need oriental medical treatment. Also, they have prepared brochures in Spanish for Latino patients to inform them about the oriental medicine.
Dr. Lee said, “It is very important to serve as a health care institution to get closer to the local community. I want to take the opportunity to develop a Korean-American community in the American community. I will do my best for people who are in need of oriental medical treatment.”
